Colorado #FitTrip first day and sledding...

I'M BACKKKKK!

It has been a world wind of a #FitTrip week. Thanks to all that made it happen. We had an absolutely amazing time and cannot wait to attend the summer Colorado FitTrip soon.

So I wanted to tell you guys how absolutely amazing Keystone and Loveland Colorado is. This was just driving up to the mountain. How breathtaking is that?

We drove into Keystone on Friday and checked in to the Comfort Suites in Dillon Co. We stayed here last year during our FitTrip and it has was def our first choice again for this year.

The views from the hotel are spectacular. This picture was taken from our hotel room window...

Also they have an amazing hot tub on their back deck for all of those after ski/snowboarding muscle aches...

If you ever decide to take a trip to Keystone or Loveland, def check out the Choice Hotels Comfort Suites in Dillon, CO. It is only about a 10 minute drive to either ski mountain and totally worth it.

The first day we were there we didn't have enough time to go up to the mountain so we went over to our friend Josh's ski rental store to get our gear. Pioneer Sports is located inside the La Quinta Inn in Silverthorne CO.

One of the great things about renting equipment is that you don't have to travel with all of your gear. We brought our snowboard pants with us from Alabama and that's it. We rented jackets, skis, and snowboards directly from Pioneer for a small fee. It was great not having to pack our big ski coats in our luggage, saved a lot of room. Also you they fit the skis and boards to your feet exactly so you are guaranteed to have the most comfortable ride down the mountain. We will rent every time from now on. If your in the area, go see Josh!

We decided to purchase a sled from Josh and go check out the sledding hill that afternoon. On previous Colorado FitTrips we didn't sled, so we were excited to check it out. Of course we picked out the sled that fashionably matched. (Sorry, not sorry) LOL...

We headed to the Silverthorne Rec Centers sled hill called Rainbow Hill. It was a great community place for people to sled or for people to practice getting used to skis or snowboards...

We had a blast sledding down the hills as you can tell. We were like big kids having a blast. Of course we tried many different ways of getting down the hill. lol!

We will def be partaking in many more sledding adventures next year. I will be letting you see all of the mountain fun we had including snowboarding, skiing, and a little mountaintop tubing tomorrow, stay tuned...

Meet our chickens, eggs for days...

Have any of you guys ever raised chickens? So my husband gets these wild ideas A LOT, and has decided that we are going to be chicken farmers. YEP, chicken farmers. LOL! Now we live in the city, in a neighborhood, so we had to do our homework on laws. In Mobile it says you can have up to 25 hens, but no roosters and you have to have a certain size coop/run per chicken. My husband being the handy guy he is has started building our chicken coop and its going to be awesome. I cannot wait to show it to you guys when it is done.

In the meantime we officially own 12 baby chicks that we are raising inside for the next 4 weeks till they are big enough to go outside. So I wanted to introduce you to a couple of my kids favorites...

This is Willies chicken "Alvin"

His name is Alvin because he/she looks like a chipmunk from the back. Yes it is a hen but Willie doesn't care, her name is Alvin, lol...

Reebok Zig Big N Fast EX Review (youth)

Reebok Zig Big N Fast EX Review

OK so before my kiddos tell you how super awesome the "Zigs" are, let me tell you a little about the Reebok Zig Big N Fast EX and why its important for us as parents to make sure our kids have the best shoes on their growing feet...

So as soon as the boxes came my kids were outside trying out their new shoes. My youngest child Willie was so excited that they matched his football teams colors. He plays for the West Mobile Buccaneers and as you can tell by his shirt their colors are red, black, and white. Also his favorite team is Alabama, so they matched his shorts also. LOL! He was running around like a crazy kid doing football drills in the yard. I don't let him wear his cleats in the yard because they tear it up, so he was excited that the Reebok Zig shoes allowed him to do his drills and not slip on the grass like his previous tennis shoes.
Now my daughter Cadence is a little harder to please when it comes to shoes. Yes, its a girl thing. She is a swimmer, so tennis shoes are not a staple item in her wardrobe. So to her they must be pretty and "cool" looking.

Reebok nailed it on the fashion card. She and her friend Sarah both loved the shoes so much Sarahs mom is heading down to Finish Line in the mall this weekend to buy her a pair. And at a price point of $79.99 (size 3.5-7), you cant beat it.

If you have kids you should def stop in to your local Finish Line store and check out the new Reebok Zig Big N Fast EX for boys and girls.

As a mom of very active kids, I always make sure my kids have the best shoes for their feet. Reebok really outdid themselves with the new Zig. I will def be buying these shoes in the future.

Are you careful about your kids active shoes?

Have they tried the Reebok Zig shoe before?
