My Weight Loss Story (updated)

I thought I would update a little, I hope to inspire someone in any way.
My weight loss story...

This was me 10 yrs ago, I used to be a personal training/aerobic manager. I was in great shape, I lived in the gym, and it was easy to stay in shape. Oh and I was also like 24 yrs old, not 35. Trust me its a lot easier when your younger. Agree, or not?

Fast Forward 8yrs, married and 3 kids later, this WAS me...
In January of 2011, I decided that I was miserable. Yes, I functioned daily. But deep down I was miserable. I challenged myself to lose 60 lbs.
I joined a gym and made it a point to go everyday Monday-Friday after I dropped the kids off at school. I knew that if I made it a specific time everyday like a job, I would go. So at 8:30 I was at the gym everyday. 45 minutes of cardio daily, and weights daily.
I also joined Myfitnesspal.com and counted my calories everyday for 120days straight.

48lbs dropped off in 100 days. It was amazing.

I didn't use any quick weight loss products. There is no magic pill, just hard work and basically treating my weight loss like a job.

In April of 2011,my BFF was going to run The Azalea Trail Run, the biggest 5k/10k race we have here on the Gulf Coast. I was like ok, if you sign up, Ill sign up. Now I had not trained on the treadmill or running at all. I was an elliptical/spin cardio person in the gym. The treadmill and running in general bored me.

So The day of the race comes and I line up at the start line with my BFF and my 9 yr old. And we are off. I thought I was going to die. I remember praying at every turn that it was the Finish line. LOL! 3 miles seemed like an eternity. I crossed the finish line in 46 minutes. I was proud of myself and my son for finishing. We went into the "afterparty" and I was hooked!
7000 people in there and no one cared that it took me 46 minutes to cross the finish. Nobody cared I was not a "runner". What they did care about was congratulating everyone for finishing. Since then I still weigh 175-180lbs a year later, but have developed muscles that I had not seen in a long time.
UPDATE:
Since then I have ran over 60 races all over the U.S.

Today I have maintained my 50lb weight loss and now I am focusing on the last 15lbs. I have cleaned up my diet. I have eliminated all processed food in my diet. And I have destressed my life as much as a wife and mom of 3 can. I hope you follow me on my journey of continuous weight loss and challenges.
This is me today...
