CrossFit Games Workout! Oh my Goodness!

Happy Friday!

I am ready for the weekend! This week has been busy.
This was my getting back to the box week after taking it easy after my marathon.
My trainer Jennifer has been pushing me harder and I love it.

Some of you guys know the CrossFit Games Open started the night before last. The Open workout they posted was a crazy one...

Workout 13.1

MEN – includes Masters Men up to 54 years old
Proceed through the sequence below completing as many reps as possible in 17 minutes of:
40 Burpees
75 pound Snatch, 30 reps
30 Burpees
135 pound Snatch, 30 reps

165 pound Snatch, 30 reps
10 burpees
210 pound Snatch, as many reps as possible
WOMEN – includes Masters Women up to 54 years old
Proceed through the sequence below completing as many reps as possible in 17 minutes of:
40 Burpees

30 Burpees

20 Burpees
100 pound Snatch, 30 reps
10 burpees
120 pound Snatch, as many reps as possible

Yeah I would DIE! Burpees are my worse enemy. Well those, and pullups, and Scotch tape when you cant find the ending! HEEHEE!

After our WOD, a friend of mine Dina, was doing her qualification for the Games. It has to be timed by a Leveled CrossFit Coach, its pretty serious.
Dina is the freaking amazing CrossFitFriend that told me about her doing the 40 day Paleo challenge for Lent and I decided to twinsee her and join her. Its been amazing. If you didn't see my post yesterday about the first 20 days, you can read it HERE!

After stalking watching Dina kick butt on the 13.1 workout, I went to Planet Fitness to do some speed work on the treadmill. I did 4x400 and 2x800, followed by some incline sprints. I have been wanting to start doing more speedwork and I am starting to make the time for it.
I took a picture in the tanning room, I love the way Paleo and CrossFit combined with my strength training and running is making my body feel and look.

How was your week?

  1. Super work, girl! Can you get outside for the those repeats? I think you will find them to be MUCH easier out there. THat's just my opinion, though...

Sad you aren't doing the Leprachaun Run this year... :(

  2. Nice run. I need to get on the ball with speed work and stick with it instead of doing it when I feel like it. And I am still amazed at how awesome the paleo/CF/Running is working for you. You look great!!
