Misfit Wearable SHINE and a foot update...

Hey guys! There has been a lot going on over here in my little piece of the world. As most of you guys know, I hurt my foot really bad about 3.5 weeks ago. First I was told it was broke, then 4 days later I decided to get a second opinion from an orthopedic. He x-ray'd it and came in with the awesome news that it wasn't broke! YAY! Basically I had a major soft tissue damaged foot. The swelling is about 90% better, but the gash in my foot is still bad. I went to the dr yesterday and he cleared me for everything except heavy impact cardio for one more more week. Note to all you runners/bikers/cyclist, my ortho told me that the fact that I had really strong feet, they kept my bones from breaking. So keep your feet strong people!:)

Yesterday I got some awesome mail delivered. I love coming home to packages, who doesn't? I have been wanting an activity tracker that I could swim with and monitor every different activity I do. Insert the Misfit Wearable SHINE...

This thing is Ah-mazing! It monitors every move I make including my sleep. I was curious to see how much deep sleep I was actually getting. It wasn't pretty! Out of about 6 hours of sleep, only about 2 hours and 43 minutes of that was deep sleep. No wonder I'm tired! Any suggestions?
I will have a full review of the SHINE soon, I want to use it a lot more before showing you guys everything it does.

Today I swim with it...

Stay tuned for a full review on the SHINE and hopefully you guys are planning on listening to the radio show this coming up Saturday.

Do you use a monitor?
Does it check your sleep?

  1. This looks great! I'm a horrible sleeper and wake up constantly, which results in me being super tired throughout the day. I would love to see how I'm actually sleeping!

  2. That looks cool! I haven't seen or heard of it yet. I had a FitBit One but then I broke it. lol. Wearing something on my clothes is a BAD idea - it ends up in the laundry.
